Rocky Mountaineer
Rocky Mountaineer is one of the world's great daylight train journeys, crossing British Columbia and Alberta through the Canadian Rockies from April to October. Glass-dome coaches give you sweeping views of glacier-fed rivers, canyons and snowcapped peaks.
The train only travels by day, so you never miss the scenery. Each evening you stay at a hotel along the route, then board again the next morning.
Our US-based advisors help you choose the route, service level and dates, and add stays in Vancouver, Banff, Lake Louise or Jasper before or after your journey.
The Routes
First Passage to the West: Two days from Vancouver to Banff or Lake Louise, with an overnight stay in Kamloops.
Journey through the Clouds: Two days from Vancouver to Jasper, also via Kamloops, past Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Canadian Rockies.
Rainforest to Gold Rush: Three days from Vancouver through Whistler and Quesnel to Jasper, in GoldLeaf only. 2026 is its final season.
GoldLeaf & SilverLeaf
GoldLeaf: A bi-level glass-dome coach with an exclusive open-air viewing platform and a lower-level dining room serving three-course meals by executive chefs.
SilverLeaf: A single-level glass-dome coach with oversized windows, gourmet meals served at your seat and a smaller outdoor viewing area.
Both levels: Locally inspired cuisine, drinks and snacks, plus hosts who share the history and wildlife of the route.
When to Go & Booking
